Jefferson County School Districts are the heart of our community! The health of students, staff and a school’s community is vital to living and learning. That’s why Steps to a HealthierNY is partnering with schools. Steps supports schools in forming District School Health Advisory Councils and supports schools in their efforts to assess their strengths and weaknesses for student, staff and community health/wellness needs.
Steps to HealthierNY has a Funded Schools Committee chaired by a Steps School Coordinator. This committee allows the school district coordinators to come together to gain support and ideas for their school health/wellness programs.
